Is it a good time to keep your home listed in the Winter or to put your home up for Sale?
Yes, Yes it is. Here is why:
1. Serious Buyers: if they're looking at this time of year, fighting the cold and snow to get into your home and see it...they're serious about Buying.
2. Not on the Market means No Sale: If you take your home off the market or don't list it then no one will see it, therefore no one will buy it.
3. Less Competition: Not as many homes for Buyers to choose from and less competition means your home looks pretty good and you may get more $.
4. Emotional Holiday Buyers: Lets face it, Holidays = family = Home. Buyers focus more on their family needs.
5. International Buyers: More Buyers come visit during the holidays and take advantage of House Hunting while visiting family or they have different holiday's they follow.
6. Less work on Landscaping: You still need to make sure walkways are shoveled, the exterior looks good and you have a few outdoor Winter Décor items, but lets face it... the back yard full of snow doesn't need to be mowed or re sodded. I purchased my home in winter and didn't even realize how much a slope there was in my back yard until we moved in, lol!
